A.M. Best is perhaps the earliest and most recognized company ranking insurance coverage providers for financial strength and solvency. Organizations ranked A++ and A+ are regarded “Superior” companies and firms ranked A and A- are regarded “Excellent” companies.

Procedures in apllying for are follows:

Application: An application will be mailed to you for your review and/or completion and signature (if for some reason we cannot facilitate your application you will be notified immediately). We will provide you with a postage-paid envelope in which to return your completed application.

Medical Exam: You will be contacted to set a time for a medical exam. The exam normally takes place at your home but can also be scheduled at the examiner’s office or your work. The exam takes about 30 minutes and generally consists of a height and weight measurement, blood pressure reading and blood and urine sample. If you request, results of the exam will be provided to you.

Underwriting: After your application and medical results are received by the insurance company, underwriting will begin. Underwriting is the term used to describe the process the insurance company undertakes to determine whether or not you are approved for coverage. During this process, the company will review additional information and/or request medical records from your doctor. The normal underwriting time is 4-8 weeks.

Decision: After your exam results and application are reviewed by the insurance company, it will notify you as to whether or not you were approved for coverage. There are three scenarios that can occur at the decision stage:

Your application is approved at the same rate class as was requested. In this case your policy will automatically be mailed to you.

Your application is approved at a higher rate than what was quoted. For example, you applied for Preferred but your cholesterol was elevated on the health exam and the insurance company approves you at Standard. In this case we will notify you that your application was approved at a higher rate and ask whether or not you are still interested in coverage. If you are, your policy will be mailed.

Your application for coverage is denied. If your application is approved at a higher rate than you applied or if your application was denied, you will be provided the reason(s).

Coverage: Once you receive your policy, satisfy any outstanding requirements, and pay your first premium (if you did not elect temporary coverage if it was available), your policy will go into effect and your coverage will begin!

However, the most time-consuming portion of the program involves the satisfaction of healthcare specifications. Medical specifications vary by insurance coverage provider, by candidate age, and by amount of insurance coverage purchased. The plan provider needs all the required details before the underwriting procedure can begin. Whether it is the realization a brief paramedical examination or demanding healthcare details from your doctor, your assistance in ensuring that these specifications are satisfied will considerably affect the processing of your program.

We do not need you to deliver cash with the program. However, many organizations will offer you with restricted short-term protection while your program is being analyzed if you remit the first top quality transaction with your program. In some circumstances, short-term protection is prohibited. When you demand an program, we will inform you if short-term protection is an choice.

Investment Banking Concepts

Read our Terms of Service before reprinting this article. The submitter specified above has claimed the rights to this article.Dr. Brent Lundell, PhD, MBA

Although many entrepreneurs seeking capital approach angel investors, friends or family, or venture capitalists for the money, an alternate source of lending always exists with an investment banker. Investment banking is an alternative lending source where a borrower seeks significant capital for a venture.

By definition, “An investment bank is a financial institution that assists individuals, corporations and governments in raising capital by underwriting and/or acting as the client's agent in the issuance of securities. An investment bank may also assist companies involved in mergers and acquisitions, and provide ancillary services such as market making, trading of derivatives, fixed income instruments, foreign exchange, commodities, and equity securities.”

This definition has two main points:

An investment banker:

1. Helps raise capital by helping issue securities, and

2. Helps companies merge together, purchase another company through an acquisition, and develops all types of financial instruments for both domestic and international options.

Two simple examples:

Issuing Securities

In May 2012, Facebook (FB) offered an IPO to the buying public, and “went public” in the vernacular definition. The IPO, although reportedly oversold, did not increase in value beyond the first few minutes of trading. In fact, the trading volume was so high that NASDAQ computers were swamped, and the stock began what was to be a downward spiral. Since the offering did not go well in the market, Morgan Stanley's Michael Grimes drew enormous criticism for the FB offering’s lack of success.

Why did this occur? Morgan Stanley had performed the mandatory due diligence on the company and heavily advised what the opening stock share value should be, when FB stock was tendered. Facebook Finance Chief David Ebersman purportedly relied on Morgan Stanley’s expertise, and followed its recommendation.

Since the offering did not go as planned, the investment banker looked somewhat incompetent – which is very unusual for a firm started over a century ago by J. P. Morgan.

Do not misunderstand. The FB owners got wealthy--- just not as initially wealthy as they thought they would get. Morgan Stanley, on this occasion, did not accurately predict the market. As a matter of fact, the market makers on the first day of trading were buying and selling to keep the value at the offering price at the end of trading on the first day.

Merger

In 1901 J.P. Morgan acted as an investment banker, and with attorney Elbert Gary, founded the U.S. Steel Corporation with the assistance of Charles Schwab, who was Andrew Carnegie’s protege-- and right hand man.

The corporation merged Andrew Carnegie's Carnegie Steel Company, (Elbert) Gary's Federal Steel Company, and William Henry "Judge" Moore's National Steel Company and created what was considered a monopoly (known in 1901 as a trust).

The merger was capitalized at $1.4 billion ($39.11 billion in 2011 dollars) and created the first billion dollar corporation in the United States. Charles Schwab was placed as the president of US Steel until 1930 and at one point US Steel was the largest steel producer in the world.

Investment Banks Are Unlike Commercial or Retail Banks

Two quick points:

1. Investment banks do not take deposits.

2. Advisers who provide Investment banking services must be licensed by

‧ The Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), and

‧ Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

Investment banks usually:

‧ Trade securities for cash or other securities,

‧ Underwrite securities

‧ Promote securities (as in the FB example, above) including assisting in the sale of securities

‧ Assist pension funds, hedge funds, mutual funds, in the purchase of securities.

Investment banks advise on both the sale (private) and buying (public) side of securities.

‧ The private side has insider information which cannot be revealed to buyers.

‧ The public side provides stock analysis and provides non-insider information to the public.

Any conflict of interest between the buying and selling public is removed by a “Chinese Wall” which does not allow information sharing between both sides of the business, and especially with specifically private information, which is never to be shared with the public.

The Organizational Structure

Investment banking is divided into three principal categories of service:

1. Front office activities, which include investment banking, sales and trading, and equity research.

2. Middle office activities, which include risk management, treasury management, internal controls, and corporate strategy.

3. Back office activities, which include data-checking trades that have been conducted, ensuring that they are not erroneous, and executing the required transfers.

Certainly a degree in finance, particularly at the MBA level or above, significantly helps anyone in this field understand the many complexities of investment banking, and is generally mandated for employees of Investment Banks.

Guidelines to Follow While Buying a Mobile Home

To fulfill your dream of home ownership, there are traditional home loan programs as well as the manufactured or the mobile home loans programs. The most important feature of a manufactured house is that it is relatively less costly than a traditional house. The manufactured houses are first built in factories and thereafter depending upon the requirements, these residences are given permanent foundation. Though, financing options are not as much plenty as the traditional homes but definitely some financing options are available for mobile homes too.

If you shop around, you can surely find out a mobile home lender in your locality. However, you need to check out the rates and terms before choosing such a lender. Anyways, this kind of manufactured house loans are helping many of you fulfill your dream of owning a house. The demand for this mortgage option is also increasing at a very high rate. Anyways, one serious drawback against this type of house is that unlike their traditional counterparts, these types of houses depreciate in value at a very fast rate. Here we provide some guidelines that you need to follow while selecting such a lender.

First of all, check out with the seller from whom you purchase the mobile home. It may be the case that the seller has some financing options for you. In case the seller offers loans, then you have even the chance to get the offer even with not-so-good credit score and with less down payment. However, you may have to pay high rate of interest. So, while looking for a lender, explore this option first.

Another option available before you is the Title I Program of the Federal Housing Administration. Funds taken through this program are guaranteed by the federal authorities. With this program, you have the chance of obtaining the fund to buy a piece of land as well as the chance of getting funds to purchase the manufactured house. However, depending upon the type of loan you are taking out, you can take out loan for a maximum period of 25 years.

To obtain the loan, you can also check out with the traditional lenders. Some of these lenders may be willing to offer you a personal loan to purchase a manufactured house. Here, however one thing is to be noted that the rate of interest charged by the lender will be quite high. In other words, loans will be more expensive.

You may hold a primary residence. Again, you might have build up some equity in it. Against, your equity, you can take out a home equity loan (HEL). You can use that fund for purchasing a mobile home.

These are some of the mortgage options that you should explore while purchasing a manufactured house. Anyways, you need to ensure that the loan that you have taken out is affordable to you. In other words, you should be in a position to repay the loan.

Credit Card Fraud: How To Prevent It To Avoid Paying Chargebacks

It's now not just common but accepted practice for businesses to accept credit and debit cards from their customers. To not do so would severely hinder the ability for a business to grow. However, because of this their are still risks in accepting credit and debit cards but with the right precautions merchants can minimize or even eliminate these risks.

Credit card fraud is a huge problem seen by merchants everywhere. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, credit card fraud accounts for 40% of all financial fraud and up to $5.5 billion worldwide. In addition, 46% of merchants in an online survey stated that fraud is becoming much harder to detect. Typically it takes about 45 days to detect fraud but by that time the damage is already done to a merchant.

Many customers exhibit certain behavioral traits if they are about to commit credit card fraud and can be easily identified. Some of them are:

Purchasing several types of the same merchandise especially if it expensiveBuying a large quantity of products like clothes without regard for size, color, or priceMaking a purchase only to come back later and make additional purchasesAttempts to distract or rush you during purchase in an effort to throw you off which is typically seen when individuals work in groupsMaking a purchase at the beginning of the day when the store is opening or at the end of the day when the store is closing

It's not just good to identify the behaviors listed above but better to adopt some practices to minimize and prevent credit card fraud. Some of them are:

Do not accept an expired credit cardTurn away a card that looks to have been altered in anywayIf the card is not have the customer sign and compare it to the signature of their IDMake sure the account number on the terminal matches what is on the cardIf you receive a message on your terminal that states "call center" then immediately do so and follow their instructionsIf you have deep suspicions about the card then call the authorization center and ask for a Code 10 authorization which is a universal code notifying the center their may be an issue

Even though accepting cards as a form of payment is a good idea to drive revenue for your business, their are still some inherent risks involved by doing so. However, with the right precautions you can limit the chances of your business becoming a victim to fraud and being forced to pay a chargeback.

How To Fix Credit Report Errors When All Else Has Failed

Submitted By: → Larry Klein | Word Count: 672 | Views: 694Read our Terms of Service before reprinting this article. The submitter specified above has claimed the rights to this article.Larry Klein

Did you see the 60 Minutes TV reporting the extreme amount of problems in consumer credit reports? Fort million people have errors in their credit reports. While a substantial number of these are errors get repaired through the regular channels of contacting the credit bureau, lots of people are unsuccessful in getting the errors removed from the credit reports. The result can be financially heart breaking:

a. Inability to secure a loan to get a property or perhaps an auto or schooling

b. A reduced credit score requiring increased payments for loans you can obtain

c. Continuing hounding from creditors in the case of identity theft

The issue is that the credit reporting bureaus will just take the consumer's grievance and pass it along for the creditor, i.e. the lending company. The financial institution then sends back a notice to the credit bureau that the data in the credit bureau's records coincides with the information of the lender. Case closed. So the advice for consumers to commence writing the credit reporting agencies to correct problems in their credit history is simply a waste of time because the credit bureaus will fix nothing and only report what the creditors tell them. The much better course of action is to go directly to the financial institution to fix credit files.

Naturally, in the most cases, your lender will just report that their documents are correct so you, the consumer, are basically wrong.

I had this specific instance happen to me twice, with 2 well-known finance institutions. In both cases, I wasted many months trying to have the error corrected through the normal channels, initially with the credit reporting agencies and then directly with the creditors. I also employed a company which advertises prolifically as being able to fix to your credit rating problems and they simply duplicated the measures that I had already completed. I next found the best remedy. I sued the creditors and credit bureaus in small claims court.

This solution is immensely powerful for many reasons:

a. In some states, your lender won't be able to dispense with you as quickly as they want. Typically, any official court action is handled by their legal division and they have a well-organized procedure for replying through legal channels. However, in some states their overpaid legal professionals are of simply no value since law firms are not allowed in small claims court. So the creditor, in order to appear or even respond, need do so using their non-legal employees. This is undesirable and expensive for them since they lack a process for this. It's much easier for your financial institution to just repair your credit report.

b. In states in which they are able to employ their legal division to respond, the hardship for the creditor is that the response has to be by appearance at a small claims court hearing. This is costly because somebody may need to get on an airplane and invest plenty of time along with cost in handling your complaint. It's much easier for the financial institution to simply change your credit history.

c. Filing an official law suit may be the only way to obtain the attention of a person with brains or authority at the financial institution. Before you do so, you'll be working with clerks and automatons that just repeat the same company policy ad nausea and you get nowhere fast. Once you get the attention of thinking individuals, oftentimes it becomes quickly obvious to them, that they need to fix your credit file.

d. You get the interest of the correct individuals and make yourself a pain in their side for less than one hundred dollars, which is the typical expense of filing a suit within small claims court.

Thus, individuals can either waste weeks of energy and have plenty of despair and irritation or acquire my e-book that explains in detail how to effectively file the action in small claims court, get the suit to the correct folks and have one's credit report fixed within sixty days.

Perhaps Stop a Foreclosure with a Forbearance Agreement

A forbearance agreement is an agreement with the bank to briefly reduce or to delay your mortgage payments for a moderate time period. Forbearance deals are normally entered into in the event the debtor can prove an unplanned event which has created a temporary lack of ability to make his/her house payment. The most usual different types of unanticipated conditions which will be evaluated are things such as unemployment, medical ailments, and natural disasters. The lender will not (or, ought not to) foreclose during the forbearance period.

Dependent on what kind of mortgage you have and who your lender is, forbearance deals typically can last 90 days to 1 year. Many mortgage companies frequently confine the forbearance contract for a shorter period (90-180 days). But federal guidelines prevent them from allowing a forbearance arrangement that will result in the home owner to become more than 12 months overdue on the loan. It is essential to note that the interest will probably continue to build up throughout any forbearance time period. Once the forbearance time period is finished, the outstanding interest is likely to be put into the principal balance of the mortgage.

Many lenders include a requirement that a customer not be in arrears before the unexpected condition in considering a forbearance agreement. The explanation is that you are being issued a forbearance because of a condition beyond your control, not simply a lack of ability to make payments.

As a real world matter, you'll want to only consider asking for a forbearance deal if there is a light at the end of your hardship tunnel. The mortgage company will expect you to pay back all the missed payments following the completion of the forbearance period. A few lenders might even try to get you to agree should you be unable to satisfy the terms of the forbearance agreement, that you will agree to deliver the home back. Therefore, if you were injured and may miss sixty days of employment, but will then get to go back to work and return to your payments, a forbearance arrangement could be a good solution for you.

For those who have a Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac loan, and you will be searching out the forbearance due to being out of work, a forbearance may be asked for for 6 months, and then can be expanded for an additional 6 months. During the first 6 month period, forbearance can be obtained either to decrease or fully suspend the payments. If sought after and authorized by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac, an additional 6 month forbearance can be acquired. For the duration of this next 6 month forbearance, the homeowner has to make payments of at least 31% of the customer's gross monthly revenue (not including unemployment benefits). ? If your lender agrees to a forbearance agreement, it could be an option to postpone or cancel a foreclosure.

Cyprus Financial Crisis - The Conspiracy Theory

Most commentators agree that the Greek Republic of Cyrus has been unfairly treated by the troika of the European Commission, the European Central Bank and the International Monetary fund. The requirement for a national government to impose a levy on deposits was a surprising and deeply disturbing innovation. The pain for the government of the Greek Republic of Cyprus was lessened by their decision to penalise deposits in excess of 100,000 euros. This meant that most small depositors, that is, the majority of the electorate, would not suffer losses. Those depositors with funds in excess of 100,000 face a most uncertain future. Their accounts are frozen and they are likely to incur losses of up to 50%. Many of these depositors are Russians and they have made a major contribution to the economy of South Cyprus in recent years.

The conspiracy theory runs as follows -

1 The EU has been frustrated and angry with the Greek Republic of Cyprus since 1974. The EU was led to believe that both North and South Cyprus would agree to the terms of the Annan Plan and that the island would be re-united. Referenda took place in both parts of Cyprus. Voters in North Cyprus were in favour of reunification by a large majority, but voters in the South rejected the Annan plan. In the South, the government, church and most of the media publicly criticised the Annan plan and promoted its rejection. This was badly received in Brussels.

2 The ongoing and persistent hostility of the Greek Republic of Cyprus towards Turkey's application to join the EU has been a severe strain on relations between the EU and Turkey. The increasing importance of Turkey as an economic power in the Middle East and its crucial role in a resolution of the conflict in Syria have led the US to broker better relations between Turkey and Israel. The US has been quietly working behind the scenes to smooth the path for Turkey's accession to the EU. While the Obama administration can claim some success in the recent thawing of relations between Turkey and Israel, the predictable intransigence of the Greek Republic of Cyprus has been a source of ongoing irritation in both Washington and Brussels. The fact that President Christofias was a communist and publicly admired Fidel Castro brought him to the attention of the CIA. Both Presidents Bush and Obama refused to sanction CIA 'dirty tricks' aimed at discrediting President Christofias.

3 The response of the Greek Republic of Cyprus to mounting financial pressures was to seek and secure a 2.5bn euro loan from Russia in 2011. This was an attempt by the government to circumvent the Troika and its financial disciplines.

4 Based on the above factors, a decision was made to punish and humiliate Greek Cyprus. The proposal that all bank accounts should be levied emanated from the EU, who were well aware that the implementation of such a proposal would be political suicide for any government.

5 The EU expected the Greek Cypriot government to run to Moscow in order to secure further loans. The Greek Cypriots had several proposals for the Russians. They suggested that Russian investors buy out the Laiki or Cyprus Popular Bank and they were prepared to offer the security of the large and untapped natural gas fields surrounding Cyprus as long term collateral.

6 The natural gas resources of Cyprus are a contested resource by the Greek Republic of Cyprus and Turkey, who argues that both North and South Cyprus should share the benefits of the resource. Turkey was briefed by the EU on the impending financial crisis in South Cyprus and made several announcements concerning the natural gas fields and the likely routing of pipelines to Turkey. It was also made clear to Russia that any exploitation of the resource by Gazprom, the Russian energy giant, would require the active cooperation of Turkey.

7 Turkey has already demonstrated the seriousness of the Cyprus gas issue by suspending its deals with the Italian firm ENI. The Italian firm was working on the Samsun-Ceyhan pipeline that will deliver Russian and Kazakhstan oil to the coast of Turkey. The contract was summarily suspended in mid March 2013 due to ENI's license agreement with the Greek Republic of Cyprus

8 The mission to Moscow for more loans was doomed to failure before the Greek Cypriots landed in Moscow, and this left them at the mercy of the EU.

9 The requirement for 5.8bn euros to be confiscated from Cypriot bank accounts in order to release a bailout of 10bn has devastated the banking and financial sector of the Greek Republic of Cyprus. The property sector, fuelled by demand from Russians, will shortly be in free fall.

10 Greek Cypriots have compared the financial disaster to the invasion of 1974 by Turkey. They are correct. The implications of the crisis will profoundly cripple South Cyprus for at least 5 years.

11 Turkey has now positioned itself as a saviour for the island of Cyprus. The Turks have made proposals for the exploitation of the natural gas resources - Firstly, the island becomes a united state of Cyprus and there is joint exploration of the resource. Secondly, Greek and Turkish Cypriots form a joint committee to exploit and market the resource, or thirdly, there becomes a permanent two state solution for the Cyprus problem.

12 The Greek Republic of Cyprus will have very few options left, other than that of becoming more accommodating towards Turkey and North Cyprus.

History of PAMM Account
In actual, PAMM is a more advanced descendent of lot allocation management module" or "LAMM" LAMM trading system works on the principle of equivalent profit and loss share regardless of the size of amount deposit. For example, if a trader buys a standard lot of a currency, each of the investorsa€? accounts will be increased with the same ratio. This is beneficial where the customersa€? assets are of equal size but is not beneficial where the customer's assets is much larger than the traders. Thus, PAMM was initiated as an alternative to LAMM, where the profit and loss shares among the investors as per investment ratio and calculated in the ratio of United States dollar amounts
How does PAMM account help?
Lets assume 3 managed accounts under a trader's management:
1. A deposit of $ 100,000 with 9.3% ratio
2. A deposit of a?? 400,000 with 49.5% ratio
3. A deposit of £ 300,000 with 41.2% ratio
These different ratio of funded amounts are applied for managed account are converted in USD equivalent based on market rate. In the above example, if a Money Manager BUYs 10 mio EURUSD, PAMM distributes the order between all managed forex accounts according to the applied ratio. Each investor will gain its own part of position and equivalent Profit & Loss.
Taking current example; the first managed account will get the position LONG 930,000 EUR/USD, for the second - it will be LONG 4,950,000 EUR/USD and for the third - it will be LONG 4,120,000 EUR/USD. Resulting profit and loss will be automatically calculated for each account of PAMM account investor depending on market prices.

Fast Food Restaurants Cut Cost Estimates of Obamacare

Fretting over changes to healthcare law enacted under President Obama – the Affordable Care Act, or "Obamacare" – heads of large restaurant chains have recently released new estimates that indicate their losses won’t be as extreme as they originally thought. There are several reasons for this. First is the fact that many employees won’t even qualify for the coverage. In other instances, they’ll qualify but will opt not to pay for the coverage and instead accept the $95 annual tax penalty for failing to have coverage.

Another interesting point, though not necessarily relevant to this case, is the IRS interpretation of the law, which indicates that affordability requirements are only relevant for individual coverage and not for family plans. So heads of households may want to obtain coverage for their entire family under an ACA plan, but won’t be able to do so affordably because of that interpretation.

As for the restaurants, Wendy’s Co. originally thought that the new law would cost roughly $25,000 per year for each of its 5,800 restaurants in the U.S. The company’s CFO, however, has recently changed that estimate to $5,000 per year. "It is still going to be an additional cost that both the company and our franchisees will have to absorb, but we think it is going to be manageable," he noted. An executive with AFC Enterprises, Inc, operator of the Popeye’s chains, summed it up for employees simply - "Do you want to pay $100 a month for health care, or are you going to pay a $95 fine that comes out of your income-tax return at the end of the year?" In short, the penalty isn’t nearly high enough to force people to obtain insurance. Not that such a mandate should be in place to begin with…but that’s another story altogether.

Buying a Home - Simply How Much Is It Possible To Afford to Pay?

Part of the "American Dream" includes homeownership. Because it offers you an expression of freedom, security and entitlement owning your home is empowering.

Of course, the definition of value is relative; different things are meant by it to different people. You will need to take a look at a realistic budget, to learn what in fact is affordable in your situation. To then, list each of your sourced elements of income and try this deduct your living expenses, allocations for savings and investments, and possible costs of homeownership, including an estimated mortgage payment, taxes, tools and other common expenses linked with owning your own home. Finally, be sure not to disregard the deposit - 20% or maybe more is most beneficial when you can afford it.

If, according to your allowance, you have money remaining by the end of every month, you know you are on the proper track. If perhaps not, you will need to take another look at your allowance if there's a way to cut back somewhere to ascertain but make certain it's reasonable and lasting. Avoid the temptation to attempt to use more than it is possible to afford or assume your finances will change sooner than later.

Also know that lenders generally demand that your mortgage costs, including key, attention, property taxes and insurance shouldn't exceed 28 percent of your overall income. For per month example, in the event that you make $75,000 a year, your mortgage payment shouldn't exceed $1,750.

Your total debt is also said by lenders, including resources, car loans, bank cards, etc. Shouldn't top 41 per cent of one's gross annual income. In the above mentioned example, total debt obligations shouldn't exceed $2,563 monthly.
